Wow, you think the Tigers won't win a single game against the Yankees? I think they'll lose, but I don't think they'll get swept. I also don't think the Mets will make it to the World Series. I have serious doubts that they'll even make it out of the first round. They have to rely on Glavine and Trachsel at the front end of the rotation against the Dodgers' potent offense? For that matter, they'd be relying on their weak pitching to match the likes of Peavy and Young for the Padres. Yeah, I don't like the Mets' chances at all.

Typo, The Tigers loose 3-1, not 3-0, and I think i'll change my NL predicitions

Well, kind of cool to be so persuasive, but you didn't have to change your predictions just because of me. I'm just trying to get some conversation going.

I can't see the Tigers beating the Yanks. The starting pitching hasn't been that good of late, the offense could struggle because they're not real patient, and I have to think they'll be down a little after being swept at home by the Royals.

Those are all good points, but I look at the Yankees starting pitching and have a hard time imagining them completing a sweep. They don't have a "game 7" pitcher on the team right now. I think their starters have real potential to take a loss, even if their opponent isn't playing very well.

No, I am not that familiar with the national league, and I did some quick research and changed my mind.

I don't know that I could take the Tigers, the way they stumbled into the post-season. They just struggled against Kansas City, of all teams. Maybe they got a little lax at the end of the season and they'll pick things up, like the White Sox last year. But somehow, I just don't see it. I agree with Prophet's WS matchup, but I think it will be the Twins in 6.

I just don't see how the Twins are going to get by New York without Liriano.

Twins Win Game One of the ALCS with Santana. The Yankees win game 2. Back home where Radke wins game 3. The Twins and yankess split games 4 and 5, so it is 3-2 Twins. Twins win the next game Santana Starts, and if he looses, they go Radke game 7 and win. Thats how the twins get past the Yankees, with 3 out of the 4 needed wins from Santana and Radke. If They had Liriano, I wouldn't have the series go beyond game 5.

Sorry - The Twins won't even beat Oakland, much less the Yankees, much, much less beat anyone in the World Series. Oaklnad has much better starting pitching than the Twins. If Liriano was healthy, things might be different. But he's not. Oakland beats Minnesota, New York beats Detroit. Yankees sweep whatever NL team makes the Series. I hate to say it, but that's how it plays out.

Oakland has better pitching, but I think their anemic offense might nullify that.

Randy Johnson won't be able to pitch and in a 7 game Series, the Twins will get at least 3 starts between Santana and Radke, and have a strong bullpen. The twins will win the world series
