Falcons woes continue

Another sad chapter to an otherwise talented organization was completed when Falcons head coach Bobby Petrino left the team to return to the college ranks at the University of Arkansas. This is a very bad (and being from Georgia, I'm being kind!) football team that even five high schools could beat.
Petrino had his hands tied from day one when news came that a certain qb would not be allowed to join the squad due to some legal troubles. That player? Michael Vick. The one arrow in the quiver that he could use is gone and sits in a prison cell for the next two years. Then you have a player that rips you to shreds (DeAngelo Hall), making you as welcome as a tax audit and things are going to hell faster than a BMW down Peachtree Road during rush hour.
6-8 in the playoffs, 12 seasons of .500 or better and 260-380-6 (including playoff games) is something that needs to be addressed. Whoever takes the job either for the rest of the season had better have a lot of patience. And a rosary.
