Exclusive LastRowSports.com Interview with Outgoing Commish Paul Tagliabue

With Tags on his way out the door, he was gracious enough to grant LastRowSports.com an exclusive interview…For that we are truly grateful to him!

Q: Will T.O. find peace with the Tuna in Big D?

A: HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!! New city. New team. New quarterback. New coach. New contract. New book…Same old results? Cowboys might want to consult with a cancer expert on this one to figure out what is the best approach to take when fighting this incurable disease. Good Luck Guys….LIVESTRONG! Jerry Jones in on the level of Albert Einstein…Pure genius in every sense of the word

Q: Which new head coach will most likely be in the playoff hunt?

A: Nearly a third of the teams will open training camp under a new head coach with seven of the 10 new bosses overseeing a team for the first time. Keep an eye on Herm Edwards in Kansas City after Dick Vermeil's retirement. In earning three playoff berths in five years with the Jets, Edwards built a reputation for motivating teams to overachieve. With the Chiefs, Edwards must upgrade a defense that has lacked teeth since the Derrick Thomas era and ranked 25th last season as the offense will continue to ride Larry Johnson to Paydirt…Not to be outdone one of the most unappreciated quarterbacks in Trent Green. Only thing missing, please get this guy some top-notch receivers so he can get the recognition he deserves! Did I mention ride Larry Johnson?

Q: Will Carson Palmer make a full recovery?

A: The Cincinnati Bengals ended a 15-year playoff drought last year as Palmer blossomed into one of the NFL's best quarterbacks. His return from a shredded knee is obviously key for the “Jail” Bengals success. Palmer wants to take a full load at camp and the Bengals project he will be in the lineup for Week 1 of the regular season. Now, of course that’s “His Plan”…Funny how everybody’s plan is different. As for being a top-five fantasy QB, I’m not buying it at this point! "There's nothing wrong with his arm, I can tell you that," Chad Johnson said. "He told me he would be back for Week 1, and I believe him. He's way ahead of schedule." Just another brilliant brain fart from CJ, can’t wait to see what he comes with next? Um, Chad, what is Carson’s plan? Is he going to throw to you from a wheelchair…Talk about lack of mobility before, huh.

Q: Can Mike Martz really revive the Detroit Lions' offense?

A: Only took Matt Millien a few years to make his first good move…See Detroit, there’s hope for you yet, maybe? It shapes up as the ultimate challenge for creative guru Martz, who built the “The Greatest Show on Turf”. He has signed on as the Detroit Lions offensive coordinator, and what a job it is: the Lions' offense ranked 27th, 24th, 32nd and 28th the past four seasons. Good Luck, only a few months until Hockeytown is back in full swing.

Q: Will Ben Roethlisberger's motorcycle accident affect the Pittsburgh Steelers' chances to repeat?

A: Evel Knievel who survived his helmetless motorcycle wreck in June with nothing more serious than broken facial bones, a concussion and the loss of a few teeth, is expected to be ready for the regular-season opener. He has said that he doesn't want to miss a day of camp. Questions will include whether there are psychological effects from the accident that carry over to the field and if the risk-taking Roethlisberger is more susceptible to repeated concussions. Don’t fall off the wall Humpty-Dumpty. At this point in time looks as if getting back to getting with one Natalie Gublis is certainly out of the question. Although he can score with all the Summer Teeth Hotties possible.

Some Questions Tags Decline to Comment On: The response “No Comment” to the following questions.

What’s with the $8 beer?

Saints Headed to California…Gosh, Reggie would love that wouldn’t he?

If Bill Belichick’s sideline threads are a fashion statement, or does he really not know how to dress?

What’s the deal in Cincinnati…Does President Bush need to send our troops to help out Marvin Lewis?

Is Alex Smith’s small hands only the beginning to his problems…Might it affect him off the field if you know what I mean?

Is their a steroid, HGH problem in the NFL?

With no disrespect to Brian Urlacher or Matt Leinart, ever been with Paris Hilton…Everybody else has? Apparently Tags has higher standards than “Terrible Thirds”, if we can call it that? Go Figure?

another gem from lastrowsports.com. i disagree, though, about Jerry Jones being a genious. T.O. said that Bledsoe is the leader of the team, but he can't be the leader every day, and thats where he (T.O.) steps in. Owens couldn't be more wrong. Bledsoe is always the leader, on and off the field. T.O. cannot accept the fact that there is someone with more experience and respect on the team, and hopefully bledsoe will teach T.O. a thing or two about being a good teammate.
