Ev Elkins (Everett Lee Elkins) was born on November 17, 1917 in Hamlin, West Virginia. After going to high school at Hamlin (WV), Elkins attended Marshall University. Elkins made his professional debut in the NFL in 1940 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 1 year career.
