Eugene Moore Jr.
[edit] Biography
Gene Moore (Eugene Moore, Jr.) was born on August 26, 1909 in Lancaster, Texas. He made his Major League debut on September 19, 1931 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1936, his rookie year, he hit .290 with 13 home runs and 67 RBI. Moore played for the Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Braves, Brooklyn Dodgers, Washington Senators and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 13 year career.
There is some disagreement on what was Gene Moore's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1936, when he hit for a .290 average and knocked in 67 runs. However, others believe that it was 1937, when he slugged 16 home runs, hit for a .283 average and knocked in 70 runs.
