Ernie Wright (Ernest Henry Wright) was born on November 6, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio. After going to high school at Scott (Toledo, OH), Wright attended Ohio State University. Wright made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Los Angeles Chargers. He played in the AFL for 10 years, playing for the San Diego Chargers, Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Chargers over the course of his 10 year AFL career.Wright also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals and San Diego Chargers over the course of his 3 year NFL career.
