Ernie Wheeler (Ernest Wheeler) was born on January 29, 1915 in Fargo, North Dakota. Wheeler attended North Dakota State University. Wheeler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Chicago Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1942 was Ernie Wheeler's best year.
