Ernie Stautner (Ernest Alfred Stautner) After going to high school at Vincentian Institute (Albany, NY), Stautner attended Boston College. Stautner made his professional debut in the NFL in 1950 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 14 year career.
Most people believe that 1954 was Ernie Stautner's best year, as he recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
