Ernie Koy (Ernest Anyz Koy) was born on September 17, 1909 in Sealy, Texas. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1938 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1938, his rookie year, he hit .299 with 11 home runs and 76 RBI. Koy played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that Ernie Koy's best season was 1938, when he hit for a .299 average and knocked in 76 runs.
