Born on September 11, 1892 in Keeler, Michigan, Ernie Koob (Ernest Gerald Koob) played for the St. Louis Browns for his entire 4 year career. Koob broke into the bigs on June 23, 1915 with the St. Louis Browns, and put up a 2.36 ERA in 133.2 innings pitched in 1915, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ernie Koob's best season was 1916, when he posted a 2.54 ERA and won 11 games.
