Ernie Hambacher (Ernest Adam Hambacher) was born on December 12, 1906 in Bloomfield, New Jersey. After going to high school at Bloomfield (NJ), Hambacher attended Bucknell University. Hambacher made his professional debut in the NFL in 1929 with the Orange Tornadoes. He played for the Orange Tornadoes for his entire 1 year career.
