Ernie Cuneo (Ernest L. Cuneo) was born on May 27, 1905 in Carlstadt, New Jersey. After going to high school at Henry P. Becton (East Rutherford, NJ), Cuneo attended Columbia University and Pennsylvania State University. Cuneo made his professional debut in the NFL in 1929 with the Orange Tornadoes. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Orange Tornadoes over the course of his 2 year career.
