Ernie Cheatham (Ernest Clifford Cheatham, Jr.) was born on July 26, 1929 in Long Beach, California. After going to high school at St. Anthony's (Long Beach, CA), Cheatham attended Loyola Marymount University. Cheatham made his professional debut in the NFL in 1954 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 1 year career.
