Ernie Barber (Ernest Charles Barber) was born on April 18, 1914 in Manteca, California. After going to high school at Manteca (CA), Barber attended the University of San Francisco. Barber made his professional debut in the NFL in 1945 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 1 year career.
