Born on May 3, 1922 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Ernest Groth (Ernest William Groth) played for the Cleveland Indians and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 3 year career. Groth broke into the bigs on September 11, 1947 with the Cleveland Indians.
