Ernest Gibson (Ernest Gerard Gibson) was born on October 3, 1961 in Jacksonville, Florida. After going to high school at Bishop Kenny (Jacksonville, FL), Gibson attended Furman University. Gibson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1984 with the New England Patriots. He played for the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1984 was Ernest Gibson's best year.
