Ernest French (Ernest Clauzell French) was born on September 5, 1959 in Tensaw, Alabama. After going to high school at Baldwin County (Bay Minette, AL), French attended Alabama A&M University. French made his professional debut in the NFL in 1982 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 1 year career.
