Ernest Dye (Ernest Thaddius Dye) was born on July 15, 1971 in Greenwood, South Carolina. After going to high school at Greenwood (SC), Dye attended Itawamba Community College and the University of South Carolina. Dye made his professional debut in the NFL in 1993 with the Phoenix Cardinals. He played for the Arizona Cardinals, St. Louis Rams and Phoenix Cardinals over the course of his 5 year career.
