Erk Taylor (Erquiet Taylor) was born on October 7, 1907. After going to high school at Jefferson County (AL), Taylor attended Auburn University. Taylor made his professional debut in the NFL in 1931 with the Staten Island Stapletons. He played for the Staten Island Stapletons for his entire 1 year career.
