Eric Valent (Eric Christian Valent) was born on April 4, 1977 in La Mirada, California. He made his Major League debut on June 8, 2001 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 2004, his rookie year, he hit .267 with 13 home runs and 34 RBI. Valent played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds and New York Mets over the course of his 5 year career.
