Eric Soderholm (Eric Thane Soderholm) was born on September 24, 1948 in Cortland, New York. He made his Major League debut on September 3, 1971 for the Minnesota Twins. In 1972, his rookie year, he hit .188 with 13 home runs and 39 RBI. Soderholm played for the Minnesota Twins, Chicago White Sox, Texas Rangers and New York Yankees over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Eric Soderholm's best season was 1977, when he slugged 25 home runs, hit for a .280 average and knocked in 67 runs.
