Eric McNair (Donald Eric McNair) was born on April 12, 1909 in Meridian, Mississippi. He made his Major League debut on September 20, 1929 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1930, his rookie year, he hit .266 with 0 home runs and 34 RBI. McNair played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that Eric McNair's best season was 1932, when he slugged 18 home runs, hit for a .285 average and knocked in 95 runs.
