Acquired: Selected by Toronto in the fourth round (29th overall) in the 2007 CFL Canadian Draft.

Became only the second player (Carl Gourgues, 2004) in Laval history to be invited to the East-West Shrine Game in Houston, Texas…Led Laval with 35.5 tackles in 2007…Named First Team CIS All-Canadian…Named QUFL Defensive Player of the Year…Named Quebec Conference nominee for President’s Trophy awarded annually to the country’s best defensive player…Played eight games for Laval in 2006, registering 24 defensive tackles, 2.5 QB sacks and 2 FF…Named Quebec Conference All-Star…Named Vanier Cup MVP as Laval captured their third championship in four years…Played in the season opener in 2005, recording six tackles…Missed the remainder of the season with a serious abdominal injury… Returned for the CIS East-West Bowl in May…Recorded 26 tackles in 2004 after moving to middle linebacker…Helped lead Laval to their second straight Vanier Cup championship…Made CIS debut at LB and dressed in eight games in 2003…Recorded 22 tackles…Named Quebec Conference Defensive Player of the Week…Named Laval’s Rookie of the Year…Captured first Vanier Cup championship.
Personal:
Eric played with the Beauce-Appalaches Condors between 1999 and 2002. He was named Rookie of the Year in 1999 and to the league’s all-star squad in both 2000 and 2002. Eric graduated from Laval with an agronomy degree (science of soil & crop management).
