Born on March 29, 1966 in Portland, Oregon, Eric Gunderson (Eric Andrew Gunderson) played for the San Francisco Giants, Seattle Mariners, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays over the course of his 10 year career. Gunderson broke into the bigs on April 11, 1990 with the San Francisco Giants, and put up a 5.19 ERA in 67.2 innings pitched in 1998, his rookie year.
