Born on March 13, 1895 in Goteborg, Sweden, Eric Erickson (Eric George Adolph Erickson) played for the New York Giants, Detroit Tigers and Washington Senators over the course of his 7 year career. Erickson broke into the bigs on October 6, 1914 with the New York Giants, and put up a 2.48 ERA in 94.1 innings pitched in 1918, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Eric Erickson's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1920, when he posted a 3.84 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 87 batters. However, others believe that it was 1918, when he posted a 2.48 ERA.
