Eric Downing (Eric Lamont Downing) was born on September 16, 1978 in Ahoskie, North Carolina. After going to high school at John F. Kennedy (Paterson, NJ), Downing attended Coffeyville CC and Syracuse University. Downing made his professional debut in the NFL in 2001 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that 2001 was Eric Downing's best year.
