Enough of A-rod

I'm so sick of a co-worker telling me that A-Rod is equal to the second coming of Babe Ruth, that I probably did a not so smart thing.I bet him dinner that the Yanks would do just as well next year as they did this year. I know it's crazy but I truly believe A-Rod is a cancer in the clubhouse. I also believe that if we don't make the playoffs next year it will have more to do with Torre's absence than A-Rod's. So what do my friends and foes think?? Dumb bet or not?

Well, I do think it's dumb to assume that Torre's absence will have more of an effect on the Yankees' success than Rodriguez's, considering that A-Rod actually plays the game, while managers have little-to-no actual effect on team success.

I guess that's true, but attitude has a lot to do with success and I'm not sure if the rest of the team will play as hard for Girardi as they would've for Torre.They're supposed to be professionals so you would hope so, but only time will tell.
