End of the J.P. Losman Era?

Trent Edwards looked great against the Jets today. He threw for 238 yards on 22/28 and a TD. The end could be near for the J.P. Losman era. Trent Edwards wasn't going to let his injury laden Bills team play dead like a pet dog against the Jets. Instead, he sparked the offense, and left Bills fans cheering all day. Lee Evans, and Josh Reed had good days, and made the Jets secondary look silly. The Bills running game wasn't too shabby either. Bills rookie RB Marshawn Lynch ran for 79 yards on 23 carries and a TD.

Aside from his 2 picks, Chad Pennington had a good game. throwing for 290 on 32/39 and a TD. Cotchery having a great game again, catching 8 balls for 106 yards. Talk about a breakout year. IMO, we should mix up the running game with Thomas Jones, and Leon Washington. We need to stop making dumb penalties. The Jets don't usually make a lot of penalties, but that wasn't the case yesterday. We were flagged 9 times for 63 yards.

While I think that saying the end of Losman Era is coming, I think that it safe to say that it might be the beginning of the end for the Mangenius Era. Isn't it eerily similar on how the pupil is closely following the master when you look how Belichick first left the Giants to coach the Browns?

As a Jets fan, I hardly think you should get excited about beating what has proven to be an anemic defense. I am pretty sure that if Rex Grossman were QBing the Bills yesterday they still would have won.

The Jets defense is anemic? Have you looked at an injury report and seen who Buffalo is trotting out their? They are on their FIFTH outside linebacker, who they signed off the street two weeks ago. Half their starting secondary is gone, two of the three guys slated to start at linebacker gone, and yet they made Thomas Jones look like Cedric Benson.

Trent Edwards looked really good yesterday. Much better than JP Losman ever has. Based on his strong performance and Losman's complete failure as Bills' starter, I'd surprised if Losman ever starts for the Bills again. That said, let's see Edwards perform like this against a good defense before we break out the hyperbole.

There was talk in Buffalo (which I am privy to since I used to live there and still have ties within the organization) that Edwards was going to get the ball at some point this season. The injury just accelerated that time frame and now Dick Jauron has a bit of a controversy on his hands.
