Born on February 26, 1905 in Viborg, South Dakota, Emmett Nelson (George Emmett Nelson) played for the Cincinnati Reds for his entire 2 year career. Nelson broke into the bigs on June 24, 1935 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 4.33 ERA in 60.1 innings pitched in 1935, his rookie year.
