Emmett Mortell

Emmett Mortell (Emmett Francis Mortell) was born on April 8, 1916 in Appleton, Wisconsin. After going to high school at Appleton (WI), Mortell attended the University of Notre Dame and the University of Wisconsin. Mortell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1938 was Emmett Mortell's best year.
