Emmett Keefe (Emmett Gerald Keefe) was born on April 28, 1893 in Raub, Indiana. After going to high school at Ruab (IN), Keefe attended the University of Notre Dame. Keefe made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Chicago Tigers. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Rock Island Independents and Chicago Tigers over the course of his 2 year APFA career.Keefe also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Rock Island Independents the entire time.
