Emmett Edwards (Emmett Lee Edwards) was born on June 6, 1952 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Central (Kansas City, MO), Edwards attended the University of Kansas. Edwards made his professional debut in the NFL in 1975 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1975 was Emmett Edwards's best year.
