Emmett Barrett (Emmett Edward Barrett) was born on November 7, 1918 in Sioux City, Iowa. After going to high school at Trinity (Sioux City, IA), Barrett attended the University of Portland. Barrett made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 1 year career.
