Emil Karas (Emil Karas) was born on December 13, 1933 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Swissvale (Pittsburgh, PA), Karas attended the University of Dayton. Karas made his professional debut in the NFL in 1959 with the Washington Redskins. He played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Washington Redskins the entire time. Karas also played in the AFL for 6 years, playing for the San Diego Chargers and Los Angeles Chargers over the course of his 6 year AFL career.
