Born on March 20, 1867 in Chicago, Illinois, Emil Geiss (Emil August Geiss) played for the Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Stockings over the course of his 2 year career. Geiss broke into the bigs on May 18, 1887 with the Baltimore Orioles, and put up a 4.80 ERA in 95.2 innings pitched in 1882, his rookie year.
