Elrod Hendricks (Elrod Jerome Hendricks) was born on December 22, 1940 in Charlotte Amalie, Virgin Islands. He made his Major League debut on April 13, 1968 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1968, his rookie year, he hit .202 with 7 home runs and 23 RBI. Hendricks played for the Baltimore Orioles, Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees over the course of his 12 year career.
