Elmer Wynne (Elmer Burton Wynne) was born on January 20, 1901 in Long Island, Kansas. After going to high school at Norton (KS), Wynne attended the University of Nebraska and the University of Notre Dame. Wynne made his professional debut in the NFL in 1928 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Dayton Triangles and Chicago Bears over the course of his 2 year career.
