Elmer Ward (Elmer Henry Ward) was born on October 13, 1912 in Willard, Utah. After going to high school at Brigham (UT), Ward attended Utah State University. Ward made his professional debut in the NFL in 1935 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
