Born on August 29, 1876 in Glasco, Kansas, Elmer Stricklett (Elmer Griffin Stricklett) played for the Chicago White Sox and Brooklyn Superbas over the course of his 4 year career. Stricklett broke into the bigs on April 22, 1904 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 3.34 ERA in 237.1 innings pitched in 1905, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Elmer Stricklett's best season was 1906, when he posted a 2.72 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 88 batters.
