Elmer Roy (Elmer T. Roy) was born on October 19, 1897 in Alexander, New York. After going to high school at North Tonawanda (NY), Roy attended none. Roy made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Tonawanda Kardex. He played in the APFA for 1 year, playing for the Tonawanda Kardex the entire time. Roy also played in the NFL for 5 years, playing for the Rochester Jeffersons and Buffalo Bisons over the course of his 5 year NFL career.
