Born on March 2, 1894 in York Springs, Pennsylvania, Elmer Myers (Elmer Glenn Myers) played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Cleveland Indians and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 8 year career. Myers broke into the bigs on October 6, 1915 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 3.66 ERA in 315 innings pitched in 1916, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Elmer Myers's best season was 1916, when he posted a 3.66 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 182 batters.
