Elmer Mccormick (Elmer Francis McCormick) was born on October 26, 1898 in Hartford, Connecticut. After going to high school at St. John's Prep (Danvers, MA), Mccormick attended Canisius College, St. Mary's University and the University of Detroit Mercy. Mccormick made his professional debut in the NFL in 1923 with the Buffalo All-Americans. He played for the Hartford Blues, Frankford Yellow Jackets, Buffalo Bisons and Buffalo All-Americans over the course of his 4 year career.
