Born on November 30, 1885 in Piper City, Illinois, Elmer Koestner (Elmer Joseph Koestner) played for the Cleveland Naps, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 2 year career. Koestner broke into the bigs on April 23, 1910 with the Cleveland Naps, and put up a 3.04 ERA in 145 innings pitched in 1910, his rookie year.
