Elmer Barbour (Wesley Elmer Barbour, II) was born on February 2, 1919 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. After going to high school at Durham (NC), Barbour attended Wake Forest University. Barbour made his professional debut in the NFL in 1945 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 1 year career.
