Elmer Bailey (Elmer Francis Bailey) was born on December 13, 1957 in Evanston, Illinois. After going to high school at Mechanic Arts (St. Paul, MN), Bailey attended Lincoln University of Missouri, Macalester College and the University of Minnesota. Bailey made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the Miami Dolphins. He played for the Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Colts over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1980 was Elmer Bailey's best year.
