Elmer Arterburn (Elmer F. Arterburn, Jr.) was born on June 15, 1929 in Ranger, Texas. After going to high school at Ranger (TX), Arterburn attended Texas Technical University. Arterburn made his professional debut in the NFL in 1954 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 1 year career.
