Ellis Wyms (Ellis Rashad Wyms) was born on April 12, 1979 in Indianola, Mississippi. After going to high school at Gentry (Indianola, MS), Wyms attended Mississippi State University. Wyms made his professional debut in the NFL in 2001 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for his entire 6 year career.

Most people believe that 2002 was Ellis Wyms's best year, as he recorded 5.5 sacks.
