Ellis Gardner (Ellis Peniston Gardner) was born on September 16, 1961 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. After going to high school at McCallie (Chattanooga, TN), Gardner attended Georgia Institure of Technology. Gardner made his professional debut in the NFL in 1983 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs over the course of his 2 year career.
