Elex Price (Elex Drummond Price) was born on August 11, 1950 in Yazoo City, Mississippi. After going to high school at N.D. Taylor (Yazoo City, MS), Price attended Alcorn State University. Price made his professional debut in the NFL in 1973 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New Orleans Saints for his entire 8 year career.

Most people believe that 1976 was Elex Price's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown.
