Elbert Drungo (Elbert Drungo, Jr.) was born on April 30, 1943 in Columbus, Mississippi. After going to high school at R.E. Hunt (Columbus, MS), Drungo attended Tennessee State University. Drungo made his professional debut in the AFL in 1969 with the Houston Oilers. He played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Houston Oilers the entire time. Drungo also played in the NFL for 8 years, playing for the Houston Oilers and Buffalo Bills over the course of his 8 year NFL career.
Most people believe that 1969 was Elbert Drungo's best year.
